Emily Light
I’m Emily, a bilingual psychotherapist working with children, teens, and adults (5+).
I support individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, obsessive thoughts, or emotional patterns that feel hard to change and who are looking for practical tools alongside genuine understanding.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. I combine client-centred empathy with cognitive and behavioural approaches such as CBT, ACT, ERP, and Motivational Interviewing, helping clients build insight while also developing skills they can use in daily life. Therapy with me is both supportive and active a space to process, problem-solve, and move forward with intention.
I have experience supporting concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and self-esteem challenges. I work to create a non-judgemental, confidential environment where clients feel respected, empowered, and understood.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy music, art projects, reading, and writing creative practices that inform my curiosity, flexibility, and connection with clients of all ages.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a free 15-minute consultation and would be happy to answer any questions as you consider your next steps.
